Bach Week Festival in EvanstonEvanston, Illinois, USA
Early May
DescriptionA rite of spring in Chicago, Bach Week Festival marries the best of J.S. Bach and his contemporaries — and a few surprises each season — with the Midwest’s finest classical musicians.
The Bach Week Festival offers the legendary and familiar, alongside some seldom heard or unusual works of the Baroque era, performed by the Chicago area's most celebrated musicians and the Festival Orchestra and Chorus. Following Friday night concerts on the main stage, our popular Candlelight Concert series takes place in the handsome foyer of the Music Institute of Chicago.
More than just a concert series, Bach Week is a festival, complete with parties and chances to meet our musicians and featured performers. Join us for all of the Bach Week Festival, one of Chicago’s premier musical events and a sure sign of spring.
