On the 23rd, at the Ichijo Shrine, a procession of children called Chigo Gyoretsu delights audiences from 2:30 to 4:30 in the afternoon, and Sumo is performed during the day from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sumo competitions continue on the 24th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Throughout the period of the festival, visitors enjoy the variety of open-air vendor stalls which line the walkways to the shrine.
