DescriptionWelcome to Kalottjazz and Blues, a festival without frontiers by the light of the Midnight Sun, with a hundred or more artists and any number of unforgettable experiences on offer. Time flies, and this will be the sixteenth meeting of the people on the Swedish-Finnish border. The festival occurs simultaneously in two countries, in Haparanda in Sweden and in Tornearing, Finland. Mike Stern, Bob Berg, Reggie Workman, Sam Rivers are just a few of the Americans who have taken part, not forgetting a number of Nordic and European artists. This year again, the art museum, restaurants, streets and squares and the lovely island of Pikisaari, in the middle of the Torne Aumllv River, will be echoing to the sound of jazz and blues.
