DescriptionThe Kangasniemi Music Festival is renowned for its competitions: the Kangasniemi Singing competition and the Pieksämäki Poleen lied piano competition. Besides concerts, the festival includes courses in singing, pianism and stringed instruments. Performers include Jyväskylä Sinfonia, Markus Lehtinen, Avanti!, François Le Roux, Gabriel Suovanen, Mariann Sjölander, Jaakko Kuusisto, Mika Väyrynen, the Church Singers, Hannu Niemelä, Marita Viitasalo and Severi Pyysalo.
