Front Porch Revival Hello, Noah Shull from Front Porch Revival here, we play Piedmont, Delta and Ragtime blues music from the 1920s and 30s.
we play this music faithfully, and illustrate this music's development and history…
Below you will find alot of
information on who we are and what we do. Apologies if it is lengthy!
FrontPorch Revival is consists of- myself, Noah Shull, on National
Reso-phonic and Acoustic Guitars & Steve Frye on Washboard and
Porch-Board Stomp.. while this may sound very simple, please
watch/listen to one of the videos below and you will see that we have
a very energetic performance authentic and full-range sound.
Steve and I have been at this for many years (over 35 years
collectively) and it’s been well received everywhere.
This act is closing in on four years old at this point and we try to get
out as far and often as possible to keep our market very broad – While
we do lots of club and theater gigs, we work with the various Blues
Societies, usually for their heritage and rib festivals, we are about
the culture and preservation of this music, and its culture.
While we generally concentrate on Pubs; Brew-Pubs; Micro-Breweries;
Wineries; BBQ - Blues and Heritage Festivals and Corp. gigs- we do
play house concerts, Art Galleries and other more unorthodox venues
while on the road. We always do well in all situations for several
reasons.
A)We are a very fast set-up and tear-down, and we have a very small
foot-print, resulting in very little impact on the staff, patrons or
establishment. Also-
B)We are very “volume conscious” and our performances and material
selection are tailored to each establishment that we play.
We would hope to get a booking with you soon, thanks for reading,
sorry to be so lengthy in this message!
We hope to hear from you soon!
Regards, Noah Shull -
