Carrie Cunningham"Very Few have a voice as flawless as yours!" This is what you can overhear when a fan is talking to Carrie Cunningham. Carrie started her singing career when she was 12, singing from elementary school through college. She sang everything from classic rock to becoming a classical diva with the Spokane Symphony Chorale. Although she has a diverse range of genres, her love is with country music. Carrie may have studied the sultry sounds of Diana Ross and the Supremes, but was glued to the TV when Barbara Mandrell and the Mandrell Sisters came on. Carrie fell in love with the way Barbara and her sisters owned the stage! They were entertainers from the word go and Carrie knew before she could spell "entertainer", she was going to be one.
After college ended, where she studied music theory and received private vocal lessons, Carrie was in numerous bands before she started writing and branched out on her own. She formed a duo called "Mirror Image" where she and Andy Browning co-wrote and produced the album "Through the Glass". After 2 years of promoting the duo, winning awards for various competitions, and doing benefit concerts for the Red Cross, Carrie joined the Seattle, WA band Latigo Lace. This was only by chance after she sang backing vocals for the "Right Choices"CD. The band fell in love with her and insisted that she join. Come 2006, 2 years into the band, Latigo Lace and Carrie Cunningham parted ways, 12 days later she signed on with independent label; Divulge Records.
Carrie debuted with her first solo album, 'Honey Sweet' in April of 2007 where she wrote every song. The song "Smile Again" has quickly become a staple theme song for various organizations and podcasts such as Emergency 911 and The Vanished Children’s Alliance with whom she collaborated with, creating her first video. Her single off 'Honey Sweet', "The Single Life" is the theme song for the podcast Getting Single and is on the charts in Europe. With the experience Carrie has gained and her professionalism there has yet to be a fan that leaves a show disappointed; “She has an amazing talent and a pure, beautiful voice. Her gift is evident…She is a rising star!” Carrie effortlessly draws the audience into a wondrous musical experience leaving them walk away certain they have just witnessed a rising musician on her way to superstardom. When and where will she be appearing next is always a bombarding question that comes Carrie’s way.
Carrie embodies all things country from her look to singing and from her style and performances to the way she lives her life; Carrie Cunningham is the perfect Country Singer/Songwriter.
