Michael J. Humphrey, has been performing his tribute to Elvis for almost two decades. Michael's show, known as Elvis Tunes, has been dedicated to the memories and music of Elvis. On August 16, 1977, all of Elvis's fans mourned his passing and celebrated his life in many different ways. Michael was determined to keep Elvis's memory and music alive which inspired him to become a living image as an Elvis tribute artist.
It all started when he was introduced to Elvis’s music at the young age of seven, by his loving and attentive mother, Letha, who was an Elvis enthusiast. After hearing and seeing Elvis on radio, TV, and the movies, Michael was a fan for life and whenever he could, he wore his hair in Elvis style and imitated everything about him. Years later, Michael met, married, and started a family with Christine, also an Elvis enthusiast, who encouraged and supported Michael's dream of becoming an Elvis tribute artist.
Since then, Elvis Tunes has performed at rehearsal dinners, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, fundraisers, holiday and corporate events, parades, festivals, and many other occasions. Michael attends each show wearing professional Elvis attire.
Michael Humphrey was born in Pitt County, raised in Greene County, North Carolina in a religious environment. His musical career was born when he first walked into the door of the church where he truly enjoyed listening to and singing the old gospel hymns.
