P.R.Y.D.E.No stranger to the competitive music industry, P.R.Y.D.E. has consistently secured media attention and generated a large fan base by showcasing their talent at top regional venues and events. This young, dynamic band writes all their music/lyrics, giving each song it’s own unique Rock & Roll tweak by infusing original music with issues facing today's youth. Their newest ep "Drowning Between Life and Lies" produced by Robbie Freeman of Hidden In Plain" is now available and is a fitting example of their artistry and craft.
The evolution of this powerful band began with guitartist/frontman Josh Sorhagen and rhythm guitarist Erick Woltz. With the addition of drummer Mike Lisa and bassist PJ Angeloni P.R.Y.D.E. became four musicians with like-minded goals, desires and creed.
P.R.Y.D. E.’s natural ability on stage has garnered the attention of many in the industry. The band won the coveted spot on the main stage at the 2005 Bamboozel Festival that then earned them the honor to open for My Chemical Romance and All American Rejects. P.R.Y.D.E. has accepted an eleven state tour with The Warped Tour beginning August 2006. They were nominated in the 13th Annual Asbury Music Awards and spent this past Fourth of July at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany, entertaining 10,000 U.S. troops with a rousing live concert and taste of down home rock and roll. P.R.Y.D.E. has already been booked for a return engagement on July 4, 2006. In addition, they have supported bands such as Hidden In Plain View and the Jonas Brothers and Teddy Geiger. Radio Disney has featured and headlined P.R.Y.D.E. regularly in 2006.
P.R.Y.D.E.’s music continues to receive international recognition with over 150 thousand plays at www.purevolume.com, and thousands of friends on www.myspace.com/pryde, and exclusive songs available at 3Gupload.com Ringtones. U.S. accolades include the band’s appearance on MTV’s TRL “Back To School” special with Fall Out Boy, which aired this past September.
In 2006 alone, P.R.Y.D.E. has performed 56 live concerts including the main stage at the Asbury Park Convention Hall before an estimated throng of 4,000, the famed Stone Pony club, New York City’s renowned venues Don Hill’s, the Continental, and CBGBs where they drew a sell-out crowd as part of the MEANY Fest. In addition the band has performed with the "God father of Hip Hop Darryl McDaniels DMC doing the classic "Walk This Way". Since May of this year, WDHA 105.5 “the Rock of New Jersey” has played the band’s music regularly, and enthusiastic audiences and rabid fans have purchased 4,800 copies of P.R.Y.D.E.’s CD as well as over thousands of t-shirts and band posters.
