The Move Madness series will feature 8 movies this season in various parks throughout the city in effort to serve each demographic. Residents are encouraged to pack a blanket and picnic basket and come out to their neighborhood park to enjoy a free movie under the stars on our giant mobile movie screen. The Movie Madness series will feature the following movies this season: Curious George, The Ant Bully, Charlotte's Web, Open Season, Over The Hedge, Akeelah & the Bee, Nanny McPhee, and Monster House.

The 2008 Milk Carton Derby at Seafair couldn't have asked for a better day as the sun shined down on more than 70 boaters, eager to cross the finish line and take home a portion of prizes totaling $10,000. Over 20,000 people witnessed the spectacular sight as kids, families and co-workers carefully maneuvered homemade milk carton watercraft on Green Lake, hoping to stay afloat.

For three days the picturesque Victorian town of Port Gamble will be alive with Logging shows and Wood Carving Competitions. You are sure to be amazed as you watch the North West Loggers compete for prizes.

Bring the whole family for Carnival Rides, Live music, Town plays, weekend vendors and more food than a person can eat. Top it all off with Fireworks Friday and Saturday evenings. There will be something here for everyone!

Historic downtown Rock Hill, SC is transformed into a whimsical holiday village featuring over 70 family festivities in four days. Voted runner up for Event of the Year by Showfest 2007.

The International Children's Festival began in 2001 with the idea to present the best performing arts the world has to offer to the children of Minnesota and the region regardless of socioeconomic backgrounds. As an extension of Ordway Center’s Education Program, the goal was to not only introduce children to the world of the performing arts, but to also introduce them to the world in general.

This is a great family event where everyone is invited to help apply the cement covering on the dinosaur frame. In addition, there will also be arts and craft vendors, concession stand, souvenirs, fishing, walking path, paddle boats, surreys and dino-bikes for rent, ducks to feed and more.

Saturday’s evening activities – 8 to 10 p.m. – are for the entire family. In 2007 the event featured a free sunset concert by the 40-piece Brooklyn Philharmonic, culminating in a spectacular live, musically-synched fireworks show launched from two barges into the skies above lower Manhattan and Brooklyn.

You will meet families throughout the Greater Cincinnati market including a strong attendance from Northern Kentucky. The Child Wellness Fair is the City's most cost-effective family outing. Extending Community Involvement and event for Kids Activities has been the focus for the 2007 Event. The Kids got Talent contest will take center stage and be active the entire event. We will of course be adding to the smaller stages and activities like the Fire Fighter Safety Camp, Martial Arts Tournament, Kids First Scuba Diving, For The Love of Pets, National Brand Campaign Tours like the Hershey's Kissmobile, a hotrod and antique Car Show and who knows what else we will be approached with by the time Father's Day is here. Family Fun on the Farm! Join for hayrides to the u-pick pumpkin patch. Then visit the farm animals in the barnyard and romp in our farm play area with 5 mazes, rope swings, slides, pedal carts and our 2800 sq foot Pumpkin Jumping Pillow. Weekends include live music from 1-4pm, Pig Races at 12noon, 2pm and 4pm and dino flossing with P-Rex, the Pumpkin Munchin' Dinosaur at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

The Chicago International Children’s Film Festival (CICFF) is the largest annual festival of films for children in the world, programming each year over 200 films and videos from 40 countries. With over 25,000 children, adults and educators in attendance each year, the festival showcases the best in culturally diverse, non-violent, value affirming new cinema for school groups and families. The Festival is also honored to host nearly 140 filmmakers, media professionals, and celebrities each year who attend to lead interactive workshops with the children. The CICFF is also honored to be the only children's film festival selected to be an Academy Award® Qualifying Festival.

Throughout the year, the Festival organizes several media education programs for children, educators and parents including: Young Chicago Critics, teaching children film theory, production skills, and written and on-camera critique; the Dream Screen Animation Workshop in which children learn story development and animation skills in the production of their own short, animated narratives; Take One! Workshops, series of master classes in various aspects of film production and film theory, taught by the over 140 celebrities and media professionals attending the Festival each year; and professional development workshops for teachers on "Using Media to Boost Classroom Learning" are taught throughout the year.
