The Alamo Pizza Festival is a highly entertaining pizza making contest in which locals compete for the title of Best Southwest Pizza Winners. They then go on to compete in the US National Pizza Champtionship. There are several categories in which people compete – best pizza, largest dough stretch, fastest pizza and so on. In addition, there is a pizza eating challenge for spectators getting hungry watching the pizza makers in action
