The Downtown Hoedown was established in 1983 and is widely recognized as the largest Country Music show of its kind in the world. Hosted by WYCD, Detroit’s Best Country, the Hoedown is now regarded by the Country Music Industry as a premier showcase opportunity for established and new artists. Located in the heart of downtown Detroit in Hart Plaza, the event attracts enthusiastic country music fans across the nation.
Hundreds of thousands of contemporary country music fans flock the beautiful Hart Plaza for three full days of entertainment. Take I-96 E to the I-75/M-10 exit on the left towards Flint/Civic Center. Take the M-10/Lodge Freeway exit towards Rosa Parks Blvd/Civic Center. Take the exit on the left toward M-10/Lodge Freeway/Civic Center. Take the M-10 South exit toward Civic Center. Merge onto John C Lodge Freeway/MI-10S.
