The Downtown Hoedown was established in 1983 and is widely recognized as the largest Country Music show of its kind in the world. Hosted by WYCD, Detroit’s Best Country, the Hoedown is now regarded by the Country Music Industry as a premier showcase opportunity for established and new artists. Located in the heart of downtown Detroit in Hart Plaza, the event attracts enthusiastic country music fans across the nation. Hundreds of thousands of contemporary country music fans flock the beautiful Hart Plaza for three full days of entertainment. National performers including the Charlie Daniels Band, Gretchen Wilson, LeAnn Rimes, Emerson Drive, Rushlow, Tracy Byrd, Buddy Jewell, and Big& Rich have thrilled the crowd for years.

Take the exit on the left toward M-10/Lodge Freeway/Civic Center. Take the M-10 South exit toward Civic Center. Merge onto John C Lodge Freeway/MI-10S. Take the Larned Street exit on the left toward Cobo Center. Stay straight on Larned. Turn right on Washington Blvd. Turn left into underground parking ramp

Hart Plaza is located Downtown Detroit at the foot of Woodward and Jefferson Street. Points of reference: Hart Plaza is close to the Cobo Conference Center and the Renaissance Center/GM on E. Jefferson.
