DescriptionThe 33rd annual Old Songs Festival presents the best in traditional folk, Celtic and world music. Old Songs, taking place near Albany, New York, is known for its relaxed intimate atmosphere, interactive workshops, and hands-on experience. Performers participate in informative sessions, concert performances and educational workshops.
The festival is divided into four sections and begins with master classes on Friday followed by a concert and a late night contra dance. Saturday begins with a choice of some 70 daytime sessions and followed by a concert and a late night contra dance. Sunday begins at 9:30 a.m. with a choice of some 50 daytime sessions and followed by a concert. There is also a juried craft show, and food and instrument vendors.

Take I-87 south to Albany.
Do NOT take Exit One for the I-90 / I-87 New York Thruway.
Stay in the LEFT LANE and continue to Rt. 20 (Western Avenue).
Turn right (west) on Rt. 20. Follow Rt. 20 about 5 miles west to Rt. 146 west.
Turn left on Rt. 146 towards Altamont.
Turn left at the Altamont Fairgrounds sign (just under 6 miles).
From the SOUTH on I-87 (NY Thruway):
Take Exit 24. Follow signs to Rt. 20, Western Ave. (It’s the first exit, immediately after the toll booth).
Turn right (west) on Rt. 20. Follow Rt. 20 about 5 miles west to Rt. 146 west.
Turn left on Rt. 146 towards Altamont.
Turn left at the Altamont Fairgrounds sign (just under 6 miles).
From the EAST on I-90:
From the direction of Massachusetts and eastern New York follow I-90 to Exit B-1. Follow this non-Thruway section of I-90 to the Fuller Road Exit in Albany.
