The Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival is one of the nation’s most prestigious outdoor art festivals as rated annually by Sunshine Artists. Each year more than 350,000 visitors enjoy the show. About 1,200 artists from around the world apply for entry and an independent panel of judges selects approximately 225 to attend the show. The National Endowment for the Arts, The White House, Congress and many others have lauded the festival for promoting art and art education in Central Florida. An all-volunteer board of directors runs the annual festival, now celebrating its 55th year.
You will see a wide variety of outstanding artwork. Categories include, Clay, Drawing and Graphics, Fiber, Leather, Wood, Digital Art, Photography, Mixed Media, Painting, Metal, Jewelry, Sculpture, Watercolor and Glass. Some categories are combined for judging.
Artists compete for 63 cash awards totaling $72,500. This includes Best of Show ($10,000), Art of Philanthropy Award ($5,000) from the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation, and the Morse Museum Award ($2,500). The Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival Committee purchases the Best of Show winner and donates it to the City of Winter Park. The festivals Patrons Program raises over $44,000 annually dedicated to the purchase of artwork during the show.
The 55th annual Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival posters and t-shirts will be on sale. Merchandise sales tents are located at the north (Park Ave. & New England Ave.) and south (Park Ave. & Garfield Ave.) entrances and at the Festival’s main tent (north-west corner of Park Ave. & Morse Blvd.). A limited number of Festival posters from previous years are available at the main tent.
Girls and boys can create their own pieces of artwork at the Children’s Workshop. Easel painting is very popular. Eight local museums feature a variety of fun, hands-on, art making activities for Children. Admission is free and kids can keep what they make. Venue

On the north edge of Orlando, Florida: At Central Park on Park Avenue , in downtown Winter Park, Florida take I-4 to Fairbanks Avenue (Exit 45), go east to Park Avenue, then north on Park Avenue. Parking is available in various municipal lots as well as the parking garage located on Lyman just off Park Avenue.
