World Bodypainting Festival - Experience art, music, fashion & shows Bodypainting is a modern art form with historical roots that brings together artists from various backgrounds like performing arts, painting, photography, and much more. WBF ART The World Bodypainting Festival is the World Championship in different body art categories and the biggest event of this art form. Every year, the World Awards are held and 30.000 visitors are attracted by the artwork. Artists from more than 40 nations compete for the World Champion titles in categories brush/sponge, airbrush, special effects, UV effects, facepainting and some special awards. The peninsula of Pörtschach becomes “Bodypaint City”, a fantastic scenery for the living artwork presented in spectacular shows. Bodypaint City has more to offer than a “Living Art Studio”. Painted bodies are choreographically replanted into a scenery with the help of music. The festival tickets are available in advance for EUR 15 only and include the entry for a full day with all concerts and stage shows. The 3 days festival pass is available in advance for EUR 29. Safe and convenient arrival with public transport The suburban train “S-Bahn Kärnten” and special night trains of the Austrian train service ÖBB bring the visitors to the Bodypaint City. In addition to this, arrival is possible via the “Wörthersee Schifffahrt”, the Wörthersee boat service. The advantage is: 50% price reduction on the festival ticket and arrival in the middle of Bodypaint City.
