May 24-27, 2013 The Rose Festival kicks off the summer season in Portland by opening Rose Festival CityFair on Memorial Day weekend with patriotic pride. On opening night, May 24, 2013, the Rose Festival will present the season with a fireworks display choreographed to music, and entertainment on the RoZone stage. May 30- June 2, 2013 CityFairs second weekend brings headlining acts to the RoZone main stage as well as Portlands brightest and best carnival rides. The Starlight Parade on June 1st brings over 300,000 people downtown, of which many visit CityFair before and afterwards for thrill rides, tasty bites, and fine brews. June 6-9, 2013 The final weekend of CityFair encompasses some of the largest special event days in the Pacific Northwest including the signature Grand Floral Parade, which brings over 400,000 attendees downtown. The Dragon Boat Races, Milk Carton Boat Races, and Fleet week also take place on the final weekend of CityFair, drawing thousands of visitors to the festival.
