Description
Music rings out for a great cause in Highland Park July 19+20 HIGHLAND PARK, IL (JULY 19+20, 2013) – The Shed, the North Shore’s private musician’s club, is proud to announce the second annual ShedFest, July 19+20, benefitting Rebecca’s Dream, a local organization dedicated to promoting awareness and compassionate understanding of depression and bipolar disorder as real diseases. After an amazingly successful first year, ShedFest has been expanded to two days, and will bring together dynamic nationally recognized headliners, local musicians and member bands. With 17 hours of live music spanning the two-day outdoor festival (Friday 5-11pm, Saturday 12-11pm), ShedFest (1480 Old Deerfield Road) will showcase local musical acts during the day and early evening, culminating each night with headliners, including Eddy Clearwater, Chicago Blues Reunion, Big Bill Morganfield, Dick Holliday & The Bamboo Gang and The Bad Examples. ShedFest 2013 will celebrate the blues, with a focus on “washing the blues away” for Rebecca’s Dream. “This is going to be an amazing opportunity to see three generations of the blues from Mississippi to Chicago, all share the stage with these legendary musicians,” says Jimmy and Kim Schiffman, owners of The Shed.
