DescriptionThe Arizona Cowboy Poets Gathering is the premier Arizona cow country event, with over 100 Arizona brush country cowboy poets, multiple bands and singers, and storytellers. The event is a mix of free small multiple daytime sessions at the Sharlot Hall Museum; afternoon, open-seating shows at the historic Elks Opera House; and sit-down, reserved-seat, evening shows in the Yavapai College Performance Hall, a modern and comfortable performing arts auditorium.

DirectionsFrom Phoenix, go north on I17 70 miles to Cordes Junction, then west on Arizona 69 30 miles to Prescott. Proceed into Prescott on Gurley Street to the central Courthouse Plaza, then go two more blocks west on Gurley Street to the Sharlot Hall Museum.
TimesThursday evening opening show, 7:30 p.m. presents Featured Poets with special guest Don Edwards; Friday daytime free sessions, noon to 5 p.m.; Friday evening show, 7:30 p.m. presents Jean and Gary Prescott from Ovalo, TX.; Saturday free daytime sessions, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Museum campus and four one-hour sessions from noon to 4:00 p.m. at the historic Elks Opera House; Saturday evening shows at 5:00 p.m. featuring the band, Roughstring, and at 8:00 p.m. with the Desert Sons.
Admission & ParkingAmple parking is located adjacent to the museum and within a two block radius of this urban, small town setting. Daytime events are free; evening show tickets cost $15 for reserved seats.
