The Hernando County Cattlemen's Association are proud to announce the Hernando County Rodeo and Barbecue Festival. This exciting three day event will be held on October 12, 13, and 14, 2007, at the Hernando County Airport in Brooksville, Florida.

The weekend features the annual Rodeo now in its 31st year. It is nationally sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and the Women's Professional Rodeo Association. Seven exciting events make up the performance. Events scheduled are Bareback Riding, Calf Roping, Saddle Bronco Riding, Team Roping, Steer Wrestling, Barrel Racing and everyone's favorite, Bull Riding. The Rodeo is produced by Five Star Rodeo Company the leader in the Southeast United States in Stock Contractors. Our Sponsor recognized VIP Bull Pen is a highlight for all the cowboys, cowgirls and our wonderful spnosors. Dinner, past rodeos and a Jack Daniels Bar area are all part of the experience in the Bull Pen.

Many activities are planned for the Hernando County Rodeo and BBQ Festival. In addition to the Rodeo and Barbecue Competition we will have a Rodeo Dance, live entertainment, arts and crafts, interesting and educational displays, and food and non-food vendors to interest everyone.We have a very special rodeo on Saturday for the Shriner's Hospital Kids, put on by the local Shrine clubs. We anticipate this event to exceed 10,000 attendees. Hope to see Y'all there!
