Club NY, Charleston’s biggest night club which epitomizes a new standard in nightlife, is opening for one night only – New Year’s Eve 2008 - and is guaranteed to have people talking throughout 2009. The event’s debut in 2007 brought over 650 people to the Gaillard Auditorium Expo Hall. The inspiration behind Club NY is to elevate locals’ nightlife and introduce the nationally-recognized DJ’s and entertainers, cosmopolitan décor and design, edge and diversity that one would find in influential cites such as New York City. This one time only nightclub features international sounds including reggae, house, hip-hop, ‘80s retro and today’s pop music. Club NY has a diverse crowd and everyone has one thing in common: a desire for good music, dancing and a love of a good time. Big screen projections of Times Square at midnight will give the full effect of being in New York City and a confetti blast and champagne toast will help ring in the new year right.

Tickets go on sale Monday, November 24, and are $85 in advance and $100 after December 25. Tickets can be purchased at www.clubnycharleston.com or at the Gaillard Auditorium at 77 Calhoun Street. Tickets include all beverages, heavy hors d’oeuvres and a champagne toast at midnight.
