Rock the Blocks Music & Arts FestivalBlacksburg, Virginia, USA
Late March
DescriptionThis Blacksburg festival will showcase the multitude of local and regional artists in the downtown area. Rock the Blocks! aims to encourage the networking of local artists with nationally touring ones. We want to bring the community an event that welcomes people from all backgrounds to enjoy a wide variety of arts and music in convenient locations, at an affordable price, in support of local organizations.
This festival is brought to the community by a collaboration of organizations dedicated to promoting live music, art, and other forms of expression. Blacksburg is always alive, changing, and underground in the many basements and makeshift venues around the town. Our team of artists, show-promoters, musicians, and venue-owners have several years of combined experience in the areas of event planning, promotion, marketing, media and performance. We have a range of tastes and backgrounds which have allowed the festival to feature many different cultures and genres. At our core we are live music lovers, art seekers, and hard-workers. We want to provide an experience for attendees, performers, hosts, sponsors, and partners. We want to keep the scene going in Blacksburg by bringing local artists from underground onto the stage and making it an established music and arts destination.
