America’s Hometown, Hannibal, Missouri will host its annual Autumn Historic Folklife Festival on Hannibal’s Main Street in the heart of the Historic District. Festival hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. The two-day festival will feature artists, artisans and craftsmen demonstrating historic crafts, traditional arts, arts & crafts, street musicians playing traditional tunes, food cooked on wood stoves, cider fresh from the apple press, a children’s area and a warm atmosphere for everyone.
The streets will be lined with more than 100 Midwest artists and artisans who exhibit and sell their original works in wood, fiber, pottery, candle making, jewelry making, paintings and drawing, and a variety of other historic and traditional crafts. Entertainment includes regional musicians sharing their talents on banjo, brass instruments, hammered dulcimer, guitar, along with traditional dance, storytellers and vocalists. Performances take place in the streets as strolling and street musicians interact with the crowd.
Folklife is Hannibal’s way of recreating the lifestyle of the famous Midwest river town in the days of Mark Twain. The festival and parking are free.

Hannibal is a less than two-hour drive from several major areas - St. Louis, Columbia, Kirksville, Keokuk IA, and Springfield IL.
From St. Louis: Highway 61 to Highway 36/72 East. Take Highway 79 South/Downtown Hannibal exit and travel to Downtown Hannibal.
From Springfield: Interstate 72 to Mississippi River Bridge. Directly after crossing bridge, take Highway 79 South/Downtown Hannibal exit and travel to Downtown Hannibal.
From Columbia: Highway 54 North at Kingdom City to Highway 19 at Mexico to Highway 61 North at New London. Highway 61 North to Highway 36/72 East. Take a right on Highway 79 South/Downtown Hannibal exit and travel to Downtown Hannibal.
