The Poteau Balloon Fest is an annual event in Poteau, Oklahoma each year held at the LeFlore County Fair Grounds, 5105 S. Broadway, Poteau, OK 74953. Hot air balloons, carnival rides, arts, crafts, commercial, non-profit and food vendors, live music, Americas Best Frisbee Dogs, Magician, BMX Freestyle Stunt Team, Motorcycle Show & Poker Run, Bikes, Balloons & BBQ, Little Ms. & Mr. Balloon Fest Pageant, Pet Costume Contest, Helicopter Rides, Mean Machine Monster Truck Rides, Mud Pit Race/Competition and much more. In 2011, over 20,000 people attended this event. Ticket information: Festival Armbands are $5 per person (ages 3 and under are free) Armbands are good for Friday & Saturday. Bikes, Balloons & BBQ Armbands are $5 each and benefit the Boys & Girls Club of LeFlore County. $5 Armbands permit access into rodeo arena for Bikes, Balloons & BBQ. Motorcycle Show, Live Music and all you can eat bbq! 1st Annual Poker Run, $25 per person. Registration fee includes: 1 festival armband, 1 bikes, balloons &bbq armband, 1 t-shirt, 1 poker hand. Carnival, Monster Trucks, Various Bands, Mr. & Mrs. Balloon Fest Contest, Pet Costume Contest, Hot Air Balloons, BMX Freestyle Team, Mud Pit Race, State Sanctioned BBQ Competition, Magician, Mutts Gone Nuts, Petting Zoo, Tethered Balloon Rides. (All balloon flights will take place 2 hours after sunrise, approximately 6am - 8am, and 2 hours before sunset, 4pm to 6pm, weather permitting.) (All tethered rides are weather permitting and depend upon atmospheric pressure.
