The Prescott Corral of Westerners and Sharlot Hall Museum are pleased to host the 10th Annual Western History Symposium. Six speakers will be giving presentations on important industries, people and events in Arizona. The symposium kicks off at 10 a.m. when author Jan MacKell Collins presents The Hash Knife Cattle Outfit, an historical overview of one the most favorite brands in Arizona. At 11 a.m., Patrick Grady will give a program titled Homesteading in Arizona. Charles Herner will next take the podium with his presentation about Indian War veteran, Rough Rider and territorial governor Alexander Brody. At 2:30, Sam Palmer will discuss The Battle of Big Dry Wash, an analysis of the last fight between the U.S. Army and Apaches. Dale Miles will present The Fight at Salt River Canyon at 3:30 p.m. In the evening, Victoria Wilcox will give a special presenation on Doc Hollidays Southern Heritage at 7:15 p.m. This last program is preceded by a dinner beginning with a social hour and cash bar at 5:30 p.m. and followed by the Prescott Corral Monthly Dinner at 6 p.m. The cost is $24 per person and reservations are required.
