DirectionsPort Angeles my be reached by auto from the Seattle metro area via Washington State Ferries from downtown Seattle or surburban Edmonds (both 1/2 hour passges). Highway 104 leads through historic Port Gamble and then accross the Hood Canal Bridge to merge with Highway 101 near Discovery Bay. After winding around the foot of Sequim Bay it traverses the bucolic Dungeness Valley until it enters Port Angeles, approximately seventy-five odometer miles from downtown Seattle. Total travel time is about 2 1/2 hours.
From Victoria, B.C. direct ferry serive to downtown Port Angeles is provided by the Black Ball Line. The ferry, Coho, crosses the 18 mile trench in 90 minutes.
From the EAST: Entering Port Angeles continue to follow Highway 101, now Front Street, westbound to Race Street and the Olympic National Park Hurricane Ridge turn off.
