The Carnaval San Francisco is a celebration showcasing Latin & Caribbean American culture. The Carnaval SF season begins on Fat Tuesday in February during the traditional Mardi Celebration and ends in May on Memorial Day weekend with a two day outdoor Festival and a Grand Parade held over 17 city blocks. In 2015 the theme of Carnaval San Francisco is Scared Water The Festivalhas several music stages, dancing in the streets and exotic food from the many countries that celebrate Carnaval. Carnaval San Francisco is the the largest multi-cultural celebration on the West Coast!
Latin & Caribbean American music and dance: Samba, Mambo, Salsa, Cha Cha Cha, Tango, Merengue, Cumbia, Rancheras, Reggae, Punta, Bolero, Guarracha, Mambo, Soca and Quebradita.
San Francisco
Held in San Francisco Mission District! Highway 101 exit on the Cesar Chavez Street going west, then go north on Harrison Street to 24th Street. Festival is held on Harrison Street between 24th & 16th Street.
Festival both days 10:00 am -6:00 pm Parade ~ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
