Taste Louisiana Cajun & Zydeco FestAmana, Iowa, USA
Late May
DescriptionJoin in the fun of an authentic Cajun fais-do-do (festival) as Cajun, Swamp Pop and Zydeco bands, dancers and chefs leave their native Louisiana bayous and travel north to the corn belt of Iowa for the Twelth Edition of Bud Light Taste Louisiana Cajun & Zydeco Festival. Talented troops of Louisiana musicians, dancers, and cooks take over the Amana Colonies RV Park and Convention Facility in Amana, Iowa on May 28 & 29, 2011 for toe-tapping entertainment and savory Cajun food, dance lessons, cooking demonstrations, vendors, a carnival, contests and kids activities.
Cajun and Zydeco music is a focal point of this event. Dance instructors teach all levels and a variety of dance styles for our Cajun and Zydeco dance enthusiasts.
Not only will the music be spicy, but the food will be, too! From jambalaya to crawfish to beignets and everything in between, it’s all cooked fresh by a crew of Cajun cooks imported from the kitchens of the bayou and French Quarter!
Be there to experience authentic Cajun culture in a fun and authentic atmosphere – it’s a trip to Louisiana without leaving the Midwest!
