The city of Seattle asked Ivar Haglund to put on a fireworks show, just days before it was to happen. If he hadn’t, it would have been canceled. Ivar decided to use the opportunity as a great way to thank his customers and to give back to the community. The fireworks went off that year and for 44 years since then. Ivar’s restaurants are proud to continue this tradition in his memory. We invite you to enjoy the 44th Annual Fourth of Jul-Ivar’s at 10 p.m. on July 4th. Watch the show on KOMO 4 or pick a vantage point on Elliott Bay and tune in to STAR 101.5 for the simulcast music choreographed to the fireworks. THANK YOU! NOTE: Myrtle Edwards Park is a public park for viewing the fireworks, but there will be NO day event this year. We wish to thank the many companies who help make this event possible.
