The International Muskie Derby has possible prizes of $35,000. For those more interested in festivities rather than fishing there will be street dances on Friday and Saturday night. Saturday during the day there will be a parade and fireworks at sun down. The annual Ploye Festival coincides at the same time with the Muskie Derby to add to the fun and excitement. (Muskie or Muskellunge is a large, predatory, freshwater fish that are extremely challenging to catch and have razor sharp teeth)
