After the most recent season that saw attendance increases at every one of its show and artist sales increase by as much as 23%, Sugarloaf Craft Festivals, one of the nation’s most prominent and popular juried shows of fine art and crafts, is accepting applications from artists and craftspeople in all media for its Spring 2013 shows.
Exhibition space is available at every show in all categories, including fiber and fashion, photography, fine art, furniture, ceramics and pottery, blown and leaded glass, jewelry, metal, leather, and functional and decorative wood. Jurying for the Spring 2013 shows begins in mid - August.
In 2011, nine of Sugarloaf’s shows were ranked in the “100 Best Classic and Contemporary Craft Shows” nationally by Sunshine Artist Magazine.
Last year, artists sold more than $14.4 million in fine arts and contemporary crafts to more than 164,000 enthusiastic visitors at Sugarloaf shows. Both sales and attendance were up between 5% and 10% over the previous year.
Sugarloaf invests all exhibitor booth fees in the promotion and production of each show, and artists are supported with an aggressive marketing and advertising program. Show previews and artist interviews are regularly featured in the areas’ most prominent publications and on local television. Other benefits to artists at Sugarloaf shows include free VIP tickets for artists to distribute to their best customers and discounts for artists at hotels convenient to show venues. Take I-476 S (formerly PA Rt 9) to I-78 East. Take I-287 S to Exit 10 onto Easton Ave toward New Brunswick/South Bound Brook. (On exit ramp, make your very first left onto Easton Ave, northbound, toward South Bound Brook). Turn left onto Davidson Ave. Continue on Davidson for 1/2 mile. Turn left on Atrium Dr. Center is on the left.
From Wilmington, take I-95 S to I-295 N over the Delaware Memorial Bridge to the NJ Turnpike North. From Northern Philadelphia, take I-276 East (PA Turnpike) to the NJ Turnpike North. From the NJ Turnpike take Exit 10 (Metuchen/ Edison) to I-287 N. From I-287 N, take Exit 10 onto Easton Ave (Rt 527 N) toward South Bound Brook (keep right on exit ramp). Turn left onto Davidson Ave. Continue on Davidson for 1/2 mile. Turn left on Atrium Dr. Center is on the left.
Take US Rt 1 N to I-287 N or I-195 East to the NJ Turnpike North to Exit 10 (Metuchen/Edison) toTimes
