ChickFest attracts approximately 3,500 people. ChickFest is named in honor of Pilgrim’s Pride, whose world headquarters is located in Pittsburg. It includes a golf tournament, hot dog lunch, carnival, parade and classic car show, Chicken Cook-off, bike run, live entertainment with local and regional Christian music acts, a Pittsburg Hot Links eating contest, bounce houses, a Kids Activities Center and more. The downtown streets are blocked off and commercial vendors set up on the streets in front of the downtown businesses from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday only. The carnival is held Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
