Los Alamos is a mountain town situated admidst Ponderosa pine forest at 7500' altitude. The Los Alamos Summer Concert Series anchors a full summer of weekend festivals and activities in Los Alamos. Every weekend all summer features a free, outdoor concert by one or more of the performers listed below. In addition, nearly every weekend features an additional festival or event including mountain bike races, a duathalon, a triathalon, a marathon, a road bike race, orienteering events, softball tournaments, golfing & golf tournaments, arts & craft fairs, gallery exhibitions, a rodeo, parades, the largest 4th of July fireworks show in the region, a kite festival, cultural demonstrations at Bandelier National Monument, hunting & fishing events at the Valles Caldera National preserve, and UllrFest mountain games. Every weekend features historic tours, hiking, biking, high altitude swimming, golf, camping, and many other activities.
