40 professional and amateur cook teams will cook and serve gumbo and compete for gumbo cooking awards, including The Best Gumbo in Birmingham. Gala go-ers can enjoy samples of gumbo, live Cajun music, family activities and vendors displaying a variety of gumbo and seafood-inspired products. All proceeds benefit Episcopal Place, an affordable housing community in Birmingham for low-income seniors and young disabled adults.
