DescriptionNestled in the box canyon of Telluride, Colorado, the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival is a three day celebration of music and microbrews. The festival features an eclectic and exciting line-up of over 20 nationally touring bands combined with a three hour ‘Grand Tasting’ on Saturday where attendees experience over 100 different flavors of beer from 50 microbreweries from around the west in one of the most spectacular festival settings, Telluride Town Park.
The festival also features a family tent, which hosts three days of fun, games and arts and crafts for kids of all ages as well as a craft and food market.
Festival performers have included such blues greats as The Black Crowes, The Allman Brothers Band, Joe Cocker, James Brown, Buddy Guy, Taj Mahal, Dickey Betts, Little Feat, Hot Tuna, The Radiators, The Robert Cray Band, Kenny Wayne Shephard, Govt Mule, Charlie Musselwhite, John Mayall, the Funky Meters and many more. If you dont get your fill during the day, hit the clubs in town for some steamy late night blues.
The festival is proud to offer the 4th annual Telluride Acoustic Blues Camp. The 4-day Acoustic Blues Camp offers students a chance to study and play with premier acoustic blues artists in a relaxed and supportive environment. Classes will be offered in Blues Harmonica, Piedmont & Delta Blues Guitar, Texas Blues Guitar, Fingerstyle Blues Fundamentals, Acoustic Groove, Vocal Technique and Slide Guitar.
