The Santa Cruz Mountain Full Moon Music Festival at Lupin Lodge, July 15-17. The Santa Cruz Mountain Full Moon Music Festival is a two-day, two-stage reggae and world-electronic music festival and campout, with vending and workshops, at Lupin Lodge in Los Gatos, California, on the weekend of July 15-17. Over twenty-five national, regional and local musicians will perform on Saturday and Sunday, July 16-17, 2011, offering live reggae performances and a wide range of world electronic DJs on two separate stages. With performing acts and dozens of local vendors, the attendees will be able to connect with their local communities in addition to their immediate festival experience and encourage independent commerce and connection. Several of the acts include Janaka Selekta, Audible Mainframe, Junior Toots, DJ Amar, The Devastators, Bachaco, Irae Devine, Wasted Noise, Chlorophil, Smokin’ Roots Crew, 7th Street Band, Inhale, Michael Annotti, Projekt S.E.E.R., Sparkinzi, Dan Haddad, Papouban, Mando Soria, Househead Jason, Garfield Fish and many more. The Santa Cruz Mountain Full Moon Music festival gates will open on Friday, July 15th at 6p, allowing early entry for vendors, campers and participants until 10p. The Full Moon Friday night will feature a welcome wagon of music brought to you by the Detroit-based collective, W.A.R.M.T.H. International (www.warmth313.com) featuring Sparkinzi and friends spinning an array of deep house and world grooves. Friday night entry will only be provided to participants that purchase the full weekend pass (starting at $59) and are allowed full use of all Lupin Lodge facilities during their Saturday and Sunday, the gates will open at 8a, with both stages providing performances from noon until 10p on Saturday and until 6p on Sunday. During this time, attendees and campers can explore and enjoy the vending areas and take advantage of the incredible 110-acre facility of Lupin Lodge that hosts a pool, two hot tubs, restaurant, and children’s play area. Historically, Lupin Lodge has carried an incredible history of bringing like-minded people together and exposing them to new lifestyles and cultures. In that spirit and carrying with it the principles of a Leave No Trace event, The Santa Cruz Mountain Full Moon Music Festival aims to follow in those footsteps, and create the path for creative expression and connection, while enhancing the sustainability of our local communities through independent commerce and information exchange. Lupin Lodge is centrally located only ten minutes from downtown Los Gatos, twenty -five minutes from downtown Santa Cruz or San Jose and only an hour from both the San Francsico or Monterey Peninsulas. From Los Gatos: Take Hwy 17S to the first overpass (Bear Creek exit). Turn off on Old Santa Cruz Highway (parallels Hwy 17) and proceed 2 miles. Turn left onto Aldercroft Heights Road. Proceed over a small bridge, then veer to the right. Turn left immediately into the driveway at the 20600 sign. Follow it in about 1/3 mile to the office. Stop and register. From Santa Cruz: Take Hwy 17N past Summit Road about 2-1/2 miles to the blinking yellow light at Idylwild Drive, turn right. Turn left at the bottom (Old Santa Cruz Highway), turn right on Aldercroft Heights, veer right after the bridge. Immediately turn left into driveway at 20600 sign. Follow in about 1/3 mile to the office. Stop and register.
