DescriptionThe Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestras again presents the popular Marrowstone Music Festival, an annual event featuring an all-star roster of established artists and a nationally selected group of talented young musicians. The festival is held in the beautiful confines of Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. The collegiate setting provides wonderful resources for Marrowstone's students and faculty.
Marrowstone concerts offer a variety of music performed by both student and faculty chamber ensembles as well as Marrowstone's two full orchestras.
Orchestral performances take place each Sunday at 3pm. The repertoire is eclectic, featuring orchestral favorites as well as contemporary works by relatively unknown composers.
Faculty chamber music concerts on Saturday evenings at 7pm feature performances by internationally recognized artists in an intimate setting. This is a truly unique environment to see some of North America's best classical musicians.
