The Vaca Jazz Society (VJS) is a non-profit organization which supports local school music programs through music camps & clinics, education, and the pursuit of safe quality family entertainment
in the community. Promoting the consumption of quaility music.
This is Vacavilles original Performing Arts Festival, up to 40 jazz bands/ six venues, performing Dixieland, swing, bebop, big bands, smooth and vocal jazz during the 2nd & 3rd weekends of September each year, established in 1999 by the Vaca Jazz Society.
VJSs annual Free Festivals Youth Music Camps featuring
the VacaCity Stage Orchestra (VCSO Allstar youth band, which begins weekly during August 15th at the Vacaville Public Library and
concludes with a recital performance on September 17th at our Main Town Sq Jazz Fest stage.
New this year begins our Multi Cultural Music Heritage event
called the Wonderful World Jubilee Global Rhythmicing.
Americas tribute to the eclectic contributions of music
from all nations that contribute to Americas Music Roots,
and the music common denominator is Rhythm.
Ranging from Europeans Celctic, Irish,Opera & Choral,Polka, German & Polish, Jewish, Italian, Spanish, Asian & islander Pacific, Fillipino, Mexican, Jamaican, South American, Brazilian, Afro Cuban, Native African and more music celebrated and performed in this all nations day music tribute.
St Marys Church Jazz Mass on Gospel Jazz Sunday will be featuring Bill Bachmann and American Heritage Band and the St. Marys Choir on September 11th.
Gospel Sunday will continue September 18th at Nut Tree
with Gospel Choirs and Church bands, Jazz Vespers and musicians paying tribute to the many sacrifices made by our U S Military and Veterans. Speical guest Travis Gospel Choir, Alive Music Orchestra w/ Pastor Frank Salamone and others.
Includes Smooth Jazz by Stingy Brim, Stan Johnson & J Harrison B, 2nd Planet, Funky Saxman Ken Stout, Tony Alvis Real Music Ensemble, & Bob Nadler to name a few. VJF also features school bands from Vaca High,and Vanden High School Jazz Ensemble. Northern California’s “Best Kept Secret” featured artist, include Vacavilles Keith Stout and the Alive Music Orchestra with Frank Salamone, Chris Grokenberger, Pete Ayers, and reknown featured pianist Delbert Bump. The Saturday Evening Latin dance band Sapo Guapo will conclude the evening.
Military Tribute will feature the USAF Band of the Golden West Commanders on the Festivals Gospel Jazz Sunday at
Special POW/MIA and Militaryt Tribute Presentation will include key note speakers from Travis AFB Col Sones, AMW Commander, Col Cannon, Mayor Hardy, Mayor Augustine, LtCol Nick Uren, Ret USAF,(MC) and LtCol Don Kidder, Ret USAF.
Gospel Sunday/ Military Tribute will feature groups such as the AMO Rhythm & Brass Band playing smooth Christian Jazz. They will open for the headline act the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West Commanders, from Travis Air Force.

Coming from Sacramento go down I-80 Freeway West bound take the Davis Street Exit, then take a left on Davis Street, and take a left on Main Street towards Town Square Plaza/ Library at One Town Sq Place.

Take right on Orange Dr and then right on Nut Tree Rd. Go over
