The Rhythm & Soul Music Festival was launched in 2006. It features primarily independent and unsigned artists with a few headliners. It takes place twice a year-June in NYC and November in Atlanta. The Atlanta edition of the festival also features an award show component known as Rhythm & Soul Awards. Proceeds from the events benefit Rhythm And Blues Foundation, Dance Parade and VH1s Save The Music Foundation. | The event was founded by Freedom Justice and features several partners for marketing, promotion and sponsorship. Performers
A laundry list of the hottest artists-primarily independent and unsigned with a few well known headliners will be featured. Well also include a multitude of DJs. Full bands, acoustic sets and poetry sets will all be featured. So far about 1/5 of the roster has been booked...including the following: Jam Kam Entertainment, The Soul Exchange, Soul Odyssey Collective, Lori Nebo, Ragah-El, Nino Torre, Melting Pot Global, Gramma Funk, The S.O.S. Band and The Ladies Of Skyy and Raw Elements Collective to name the first 10. An additional 30 will be booked and announced soon!
