The 3rd Annual Sunshine State Steak Cook-off will be Saturday, January 26, 2013 and is the highlight of the Family Fun Fest activities, now in its 6th year. We are rated the #1 Winter festival in Florida. We are the only steak cook-off in Florida. We would like to invite you to share in the competition and the excitement, not to mention a great meal including a 16oz boneless ribeye steak, baked potato and salad with all the fixing for $18. This year there will be over 800 steaks cooked in the town center of Ave Maria, FL. We will be hosting 12-18 grills of all shapes and sizes with cook teams from near and far. Be sure and get your dinner tickets early as we sold out last year and they will go fast. Steak tickets are available from the Ave Maria Book Store and the Donahue Academy of Ave Maria. We want to thank our Sponsors for all their donations including over $1750 in prize money, trophies, and scholarship support. So grill teams, competition was tight last year, you have your work cut out for you. We hope you are up for the challenge of this ever growing popular event in southwestern Florida.
