DescriptionVolcanic Promotions is pleased to announce, the second annual “Maryhill Festival of Speed”.
The unique, five day, multi-discipline, gravity sports festival will once again be hosted by The City of Goldendale, WA. It will take place on August 27-31, 2008. The event will be sanctioned by the International
Gravity Sports Association (IGSA). Following the success of the first annual event the IGSA has granted
Volcanic Promotion and the Maryhill “Festival of Speed” the 2008 IGSA World Championships.
This years event will be filmed for the nationally televised show NBC’s Jeep “World of Adventure Sports
The event will be headlined by Downhill Skateboarding and Street Luge competition. 175 of the top international gravity sports athletes from around the globe are expected to be taking part in the unique event that is being contested on the Historic Maryhill Loops Road in Goldendale, WA. USA
The Historic Maryhill Loops Road is known as one of the premier venues for gravity racing in North America
because of the challenging hairpin corners, high speeds and perfect pavement.
In addition to Downhill Skateboarding and Streetluge, top athletes will compete in Classic Luge, Downhill
Inline Skating, Inline Board and Gravity Bike classes.
The “Maryhill Festival of Speed”, IGSA World Championships will be much more than just a race. Competitors will spend five days in a festival type of atmosphere with an athlete tent, athlete parties, live entertainment, campground and three days of free riding in addition to the World Championship event.

Take I-84 East towards The Dalles for approximately 100 miles
Take Exit 104 turn left on US 97 and drive North to WA-14
Go East on WA-14 for about 1.2 miles
Turn left on Maryhill Loops Road and follow for about ½ mile to the Event Site.
From Seattle
Take I-90 toward Bellevue/ Spokane for approximately 110 miles
Merge onto I-82 E via EXIT 110 toward YAKIMA and travel for 50 miles
Merge onto WA-22 E via EXIT 50 toward TOPPENISH/BUENA. WA-22 E becomes US-97 here.
Follow US-97 for about 62 miles to WA-14
Turn Left on WA-14
Turn left on Maryhill Loops Road and follow to the Event Site
