The beautiful, Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park will be the backdrop for the 14th annual A Taste of Beaufort Festival produced by Main Street Beaufort USA on May 3rd and 4th, 2013, downtown Beaufort. Two days of Food, Music, Beer, Wine, Fun, Arts and Crafts Market! Free Admission!
On Friday, May 3rd, 6-10 pm. Shaggin’ With a Taste. is a party in the park you dont want to miss! Get ready to dance! The Beaufort Shag Club will be on site giving beginner shag lessons and demonstrations. Its Fun, Food and Music for the whole family! To fill your hunger on Friday evening, local restaurants will be selling local ‘tastes’. Beer, wine and soft drinks will be available. New this year Arts and Crafts Market noon-5:00 pm.
On Saturday, May 4th, The festival’s popular 5K Run (USTAF certified course) and Walk Through History will begin at 8 a.m. The Popcorn Shrimp Run for ages 7 and under will begin at 8:45 a.m. at the corner of Bay and Newcastle Streets. All require advanced registration. Registration forms are available at www.atasteofbeaufort.com. Online registration is available at www.active.com. Race packet pick up and registrations will also be available at the Visitors Center, Arsenal building on Craven Street, Friday, May 4th from noon to 5:00 and Saturday, May 5th prior to race from 6:30-7:30 pm.
Saturday, May 4th, 11:00 am – 5:00 pm, Main Event! Bring the family downtown to enjoy traditional and innovative food choices being offered by our local restaurants. Sample the many different ‘tastes’ of Beaufort! From local seafood to international food offerings, you are sure to find a new favorite dish! Beer, wine, and soft drinks will be available. Food and drink vendors will accept tickets that you can purchase at the ticket booths for $1 each. Items will be sold for 2-7 tickets. Live music will be provided on the Pavilion Stage and children’s activities, which include Jumpers and slides, will be located near the playground area. Arts and Crafts Market 11:00 am - 5:00 pm.
From I-95 Northbound / Highway 17 Southbound
Take Exit 8 at Hardeeville (Highway 278) to Highway 170 North to Beaufort. Follow Highway 170 North to Highway 21 South. Beaufort is approximately 20 miles from the Highway 170/Highway 21 intersection (Gardens Corner). Follow the signs to Downtown Beaufort.
From I-95 Southbound
Take Exit 33 to Highway 17 North. Follow Highway 17 North to Highway 21 South to Beaufort. Follow the signs to Downtown Beaufort.Times
