„Herbstzeitlose” Theater und Tanz aus dem alten und neuen Europa Die euro-scene Leipzig, Festival zeitgenössischen europäischen Theaters, findet vom 06. – 11. unter dem Motto „Herbstzeitlose“ im November 2012 zum 22. Mal statt. Die Schirmherrschaft für das Festival übernahm Burkhard Jung, Oberbürgermeister der Stadt Leipzig. Zu sehen sind 12 Gastspiele aus 9 Ländern in 23 Vorstellungen und 8 Spielstätten, darunter 7 Deutschlandpremieren. Das Spektrum umfasst Sprechtheater und Tanz, musikalische Bühnenformen, Performances und ein Stück für Kinder. Die Carte blanche für ein Gastspiel ging in diesem Jahr an Romeo Castellucci, europaweit bekannter Regisseur und Leiter der Compagnie Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio, Cesena. Er wählte zwei Performances von Silvia Costa, Treviso, und wird auch mit einer eigenen Produktion zu sehen sein. Ein umfangreiches Rahmenprogramm ergänzt das Festival mit Filmen, Workshops, einem Symposium und Diskussionen. Patron of the festival is Burkhard Jung, Lord Mayor of the city of Leipzig. Under the motto Herbstzeitlose (Autumn crocus), this years festival is dedicated to a secretive species of plant that is similar to the crocus and creates – as a metaphor – references to themes between life and death, the unexpected and liminal experiences. 12 guest plays from 9 countries in 23 performances and 8 venues can be seen among them 7 German premières. The spectrum includes spoken and dance theatre, musical stage forms, performances and a play for children. This year the Carte blanche for a guest performance went to Romeo Castellucci, Europe-wide renowned stage director and director of the company Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio. He chose two performances by Silvia Costa, Treviso, and will also be seen with his own production. An extensive fringe programme will complement the festival with films, workshops, a symposium and discussions. The programme selection lies in the hands of festival director Ann-Elisabeth Wolff.
