Independent Features Film Festival
New York, New York, USA
Independent Features is a pioneer in the independent filmmaking community. We have combined the technology of streaming video with the tradition of an independent film festival. The Independent Features Film Festival is the world's first film festival in which films are chosen by a global audience via a web-based competition. The first annual Independent Features Film Festival premiered July 27th, 2007 to a sold out crowd at the Tribeca Cinemas in New York! The event was covered by USA Today, The Hollywood Reporter, New York Daily News, Chicago Tribune, Manhattan Movie Magazine, and many more! Filmmakers from around the world attended the event including filmmakers from Panama, Italy, and Canada! Viewers from around the world spoke and those in attendance agreed, it was quite the show! The second Annual Independent Features Film Festival will take place July 25-27, 2008 at the Tribeca Cinemas in Manhattan. The web-based competition will take place May 5th, 2008 through June 30th, 2008. Time to gear up for 2008!
"The Independent Features Festival offers an online global stage for independent filmmakers, making it easier for non-studio productions to reach moviegoers who are looking to discover new voices and unique visions not typically associated with mainstream fare." -Adrien Brody (Oscar award winning Actor)Venue
