Get ready to groove! KMG Creations Productions proudly presents the 16th Annual Dancing in the Park, happening Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Fire Station Park (503 E. Lampkin Street, Starkville, MS), alongside with the Starkville Community Farmers Market. This is a free family friendly community event.
“It always brings me great joy to host this event each year,” said Kayla Marie Gilmore, founder and owner of KMG Creations. “I remember the very first year thinking—how can I bring the community together through dance and movement, and make it fun for everyone. It happened, and here we are 16 years later. WOW, God is good! This event has grown into a diverse celebration that attracts not only locals but visitors from across state lines. This year I encourage all to bring their FANS for the biggest Boots on the Ground line dance at the event for a special surprise, says Kayla Gilmore of KMG Creations”
Dancing in the Park was created in loving memory of Kayla’s sister, Alecia Tyler, her niece Brandie Tyler, who were tragically lost in a car accident in 2007. The event also honors the cherished memory of Kenny Tucker, Bridish Gilmore and beloved veteran and friend Miles Veasley. Today, this celebration stands as a heartfelt tribute—uplifting the legacies of those lost through a joyous expression of life, love, and unity through the arts.
