The 18th annual Harrietta Blueberry Festival is set to return from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, offering a full day of summer celebration in the village of Harrietta.
The event features live music, local food, handmade goods, and family-friendly activities. Musical performances include Keenan Cooper at 10 a.m., Silver Creek Revival at 11:30 a.m., and the Average Bird Watchers at the Beer Tent later in the day.
Festivalgoers can browse the Home & Handmade Market, join a pie-eating contest, cool off during a Fire Department hose spray, or test their luck in the basket and quilt raffles, with winners announced at 1 p.m.
New this year is a Shirt Design Contest where children can submit artwork for next year’s official festival T-shirt. Voting will be held at the information booth on Main Street, and the winner will be announced at 1:30 p.m.
The Leo Porter Memorial Parade begins at 11 a.m., followed by lunch served by the Harrietta United Methodist Church. St. Edward Catholic Church is hosting the festival raffle. U-pick blueberries will be available at Harrietta’s Blueberry Hill, and the Beer Tent at the Fire Hall opens at 2 p.m.
Additional activities include an ice cream social, children’s games with prizes, geocaching, and a village-wide rummage sale.
