Festival Details - "19th Annual Baker Heritage Day"...
Start: Saturday, November 15, 2025 9:00AM
End: Saturday, November 15, 2025 3:00PM
The annual Baker Heritage Day has been celebrated for almost two decades. It is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Baker Block Museum a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Bring your family and come spend the day with us as we celebrate the heritage of the local area and community.
We will have local arts and crafts vendors selling their handcrafted items. There will also be delicious homemade pies, cakes, breads and cookies made by local ladies. Freshly prepared pork rinds, local honey, cane syrup and ice cream made with our John Deere engine are some of the favorites of the crowd every year. We will also have a variety of food trucks available serving lunch.
All through the day there will be local musicians entertaining the crowd with a variety of styles of music under our pavilion. Heritage craft demonstrators will be quilting, spinning, weaving, basketmaking and much more in and around the cabins all throughout the day. There will also be Native American crafts being demonstrated by the Santa Rosa Band of the Lower Muscogee.
The Dixie Tractor Club will be here with their antique tractors displayed right in front of the museum. The Forestry Service will have hands on activities for the kids and Smokey Bear will be putting in an appearance to delight kids of all ages. As always, the cabins and the museums will be open to the public and the Baker Mercantile will be open with an assortment of antiques, toys, gifts and books published by the museum. Come bring your family and enjoy a memorable day learning about and celebrating our heritage. Admission to the event is free.
