2025 Juneteenth Festival

The YANI Collective and the Juneteenth Committee are excited to begin pre-planning for the 2025 Juneteenth Festival, taking place on Saturday, June 14, at John Gwynn Park. Each year, this event brings the community together in celebration, education, and empowerment, and we are eager to build on the incredible success of previous years.

We are thrilled to once again feature key highlights such as the 2nd Annual Ernestine Jackson Parade, hosted by the NAACP Peoria Branch, the Miss Juneteenth Pageant, hosted by former Miss Illinois and current WEEK 25 news anchor Brett Brooks, a health fair hosted by the Elizabeth Lindsay Davis Club, and a fashion show, led by former America’s Next Top Model contestant Lexii Loushell.

Activities:

• Alumni Basketball Game
• Health Fair (in partnership with the Elizabeth Lindsay Davis Foundation – NAWAC, featuring free medical vendors and testing)
• Bouncing Houses (three located across the venue)
• Dodgeball Machine (interactive agility challenge)
• Dunk Station with Peoria Police 
• Elected Officials Introduction (meet and hear from local elected officials)
• Food Vendors (a variety of local food vendors)
• Business Vendors (showcasing products and services from local entrepreneurs)
• Community Resource Vendors (connecting attendees with valuable services and resources)
