The Harvest Fair marks the beginning of the Moon Festival. Attendees enjoy diverse music by local artists, attend eco-arts workshops, play games, interact with community booths and enjoy a bowl of Harvest Soup. It also features the popular Harvest Fair vegetable competition, celebrating the neighborhood’s best homegrown produce.

Vegetable Competition: It’s not always about the biggest – how about the weirdest, most adorable, silly looking, sassy, or tall vegetable? If you have a vegetable garden, think of what special vegetable you’d like to enter in this year’s Vegetable Competition!
Community Booths: Chat with local nonprofits and businesses! You can expect: Artists Helping Artists, Vancouver Fruit Tree Project, Red Fox, Collingwood Neighborhood House Food Security, United Warriors and more!
Food and Drink: Enjoy a bowl of Harvest Soup made by your local neighborhood house. Tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available and food trucks may be on site!
Future Visioning: Check our Still Moon’s Youth Committee’s feature project, visioning Still Creek in 20 years.
As the sun sets we will walk the path of the lost streams in the Lost Streams Parade. Remember to bring your lanterns!

Ages: All Ages
Accessibility: Chairs and gender universal washrooms are available on-site. The event location is partially paved and partially grassed; wheelchairs should be able to access both areas unless extensive rainfall occurs.
Transportation: Slocan Park is a one minute walk from 29th Avenue Skytrain Station and bus loop. Bus numbers #16, 29, 33 take you to 29th Avenue Station. We recommend walking, taking the bus, riding your bike, or carpooling when possible. Event location can be found using Google Maps.
