250th Anniversary Langston Baptist Church

Langston Baptist Church was originally organized in 1873 on land donated by Solomon Langston. The 250th Anniversary will be honored during the Sunday morning service on September 24. Dianne Culbertson of the Gray Court "Pioneer Day" will dress as Dicey Langston and tell her story. Marlynn Powell of the congregation will read a brief history of the church. Pastor Jim Hamilton was the minister in 1973 when the church celebrated the 20th anniversary, and he will speak about the church of that time. The current pastor, Gregory Rankin, will bring the sermon. Everyone is invited to come and to bring a dish to share in a meal following the service.
