29th Annual Frog Frolic Family Festival

Mark Twain’s short story, The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County, put him on the map, jump-starting his career as the greatest American humorist in history. The story’s main character – an amphibian – serves as the unofficial mascot to Mark Twain Library’s Annual Frog Frolic Family Festival. This extra special day of family fun is a tradition in Redding where community members of all ages and from all walks of life can come together to play, craft, spend time with friends, and enjoy live music and food trucks! All proceeds benefit the Mark Twain Library, which is an association library – not a municipal one - and depends on volunteers and fundraisers like the Frolic to raise $400,000 annually to ensure its vitality.
