Get ready to Discover YOUR Parks at the 3rd Annual For the Love of Parks Festival at Richard Moya Park on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. We’re excited to bring this fun, free family-friendly tradition back for another unforgettable day and invite you to be a part of this year’s celebration. The For the Love of Parks event is an opportunity for everyone to discover their park—whether it's a new place to explore or a familiar spot to enjoy in a new way. This free event will introduce visitors to the diverse parks in our system and the many activities available to enjoy as well as highlight the importance of accessible, well-maintained public spaces for all. Our Travis County parks system includes over 13,000 acres of green space with 27 parks—ranging from vibrant urban sports complexes to peaceful, scenic natural preserves. These parks are a source of pride and inspiration, offering a place for physical activity, relaxation and community connection. They play a vital role in our lives, supporting our health, happiness and the well-being of future generations. This year’s celebration is even more special as we highlight important Travis County Parks Foundation initiatives that will help make our parks even better, including night sky and nature-based programming, volunteer service days, greenway trail creation and more. Together, we are building a future where everyone has access to the parks they love and the spaces they deserve.
